Hello soon to be brides,
Here are some questions I get asked frequently. I thought it would be helpful if I wrote a blog about these questions and offered my response. Here we go:)
Q: Where does the trial run take place?
A: Trial runs typically take place at our downtown Portland trial run studio. It is located at 322 NW 5th Ave., #301-A Portland, OR 97209.
Q: Do I get to choose my stylist?
A: Sometimes…We get booked up far in advance and sometimes the stylist you were leaning towards is already booked for your wedding day. With that said, all Blossom & Beauty stylists are amazing. We are all licensed hair and makeup artists and are up to date with the latest trends. We all take advanced makeup and hair classes throughout the year to provide the best work for our brides.
Q: What should I expect at a trial run?
A: We LOVE trial runs. It’s a opportunity to really connect with my client. It normally lasts 1.5 – 2.5 hours. I really encourage my clients to look up pictures of hair and makeup they like. Once we’ve spent a few minutes looking at the photos we usually have a sense of what your wanting to achieve. Once the trial run is done and we’ve become friends:) feel free to email or call us letting us know if we need to make any little changes. For example. More volume, larger or smaller lashes or anything small like that. Those are small adjustment and we would be more than happy to change them for you.
Q: How long will it take to get the bride and 5 bridesmaids ready the day of the wedding?
A: We always give ourselves 2 hours with the bride for hair and makeup. Bridesmaids hair and makeup usually takes 45 minutes to 1 hour of time. This always can change due to hair types and lengths. Good thing we are pros because we know exactly what to do for all hair types and know tricks that will allow us to stay within a reasonable time frame. I will add, that if you have a bridal party more that 5 bridesmaids, I strongly suggest that we bring on an assistant. I don’t want there to be any stress the morning of your wedding. There is a small assistant fee of $75 and it’s totally worth it. I’m always more than happy to put together a detailed timeline for you too.
Q: How do I book your services and pay?
A: First of all, thank you for choosing us. Second, let’s get this party started! I have private pages for the contract and payment. I will then send you the link that will redirect you to our contract page. It’s super simple and all online. Once that is completed, you then will receive a booking confirmation via email and text. You will also need to submit a $150 deposit to secure the wedding date. This deposit goes towards your wedding package price. Me or your chosen stylist will be in contact with you to schedule the trial run. Final payment is due a week before the wedding. If your bridal party is paying separate, please send them the payment link.
